Welcone to Ski
just as a sidenote to what everyone else has said - it's important to remember that although they're pretty much bolt-on the sc kits out there are geared towards standard cars - ie no other modifictions. Stick on an aftermarket exhaust or cat-delete pipe and your afr's could go up a dangerous notch or two. No matter what I'd strongly recommend that you at least have your afr's checked out on a dyno and adjust the FPR accordingly - not tryng to baby you since you obviously have some experience with tuned cars, but just a head's up

just clicked on your dyno sheets John - very impressive
Can I just quickly ask if you are running a stock CR or have you got a 3mm HG? I'm guessing its stock with those power figures?

Tao, welcome to S2ki!
Everything you need to install and run the vortech kit comes in the box. It comes with another fuel pump and the black box that gets wired into the stock ECU to adjust the timing. So like the other posts above, as long as you are running stock boost you will be fine. I would recommend an after market EMS if you plan on doing anything other that just slapping on the charger. I just recently had my Vortech kit installed and have an A/F, Boost, Fuel Pressure gauge and am having it put on the dyno next week to make sure everything is running fine. I talked to a represenative at vortech and he said that if you plan on doing an aftermarket exhaust and header that they recommend an EMS to properly tune the fuel so as not to run on the lean side.

so does the sti come with forged pistons? or FRM ?
The stock STi pistons are not forged and will shatter like glass. lol
When upgrading your turbo on the Sti going forged pistons is definately something you want to do.
