Default Supercharged AP2 Dyno Plots

Ok, I looked for dyno plots on Vortech's website regarding their kit(which obviously includes aftercooler) installed on an AP2 but they didn't have it. I am just curious to know which kit pumps out more power assuming you buy the Aftercooled Comptech Kit? I also realize that the Vortech kit makes more power in general because it has a smaller pulley which creates more boost on their stock kit, given this fact, let's say both kits were aftercooled and you got a smaller pulley to match the Vortech pulley size on the Comptech kit, then this would be an equal comparison, which would make more power at the wheels? I also am aware that the Vortech kit is inconvenient in that you have to run a tap from the oil pan. I want to see dynoplots for both these kits on AP2's both aftercooled and identical pulley sizes. I think this would be a great comparison.

I just ran my buddy with an 05 E46 SMG and although he is very impressed with how hard a 4-cylinder can pull he's still yappin' and I know I can put him in his place with a comptech kit! So do you guys believe if the Comptech kit came with the 7.5 lb pulley it would make more power than the Vortech because it was more efficient?

^^^ Yes.

You don't need a pulley upgrade to beat an M3.

I know, the reason I mentioned the 7.5 lb pulley is because Vortech comes with this pulley stock correct? I just want to know if given all other things being equal, which blower is more efficient, therefore, puts out more power even if it is marginal.

*I think you are comparing apples and oranges when you compare the Vortech kit with the Comptech kit since not everyone gets the aftercooler with their Comptech for $ or whatever reasons but the Vortech has this included. Also, the Comptech kit comes with a pulley which builds less boost, I believe it is 6 lb versus 7.5 lb for the Vortech. Then people say that the Vortech kit puts out more power, well no shit Sherlock! I want a fair comparison so I can gather which blower is more efficient and reliable!

*I also realize that Vortech's kit is also less expensive, but let's put money aside regarding this discussion.

Comptech all the way. Their kits actually come with a 5.5 lbs pulley instead of the 7.5 in the vortech. There are COUNTLESS threads about this debate. Do a search. A few years ago there was like a 20 page argument about it with TONS of great info.

To answer your question, I think that the vortech put out 8hp more than the comptech without the A/C. It said to add abother 10-15 because of the AC. I raced a guy with the vortech setup and its was like boosted s2k vs stock on how bad I walked him. Not sure if he was giving it his all but his engine was def screaming just as loud as mine.
