Default Supercharger + OEM Exhaust...

I tried searching and found a couple threads but nothing concrete. I read a few opinions where people claimed they lost hp with the stock exhaust and some claim they didn't lose hp with the SC setup and OEM exhaust. I was going to PM you xviper but I thought posting a thread would help other people in my position.

I currently have a Comptech SC with a Spugen single exhaust. I daily drive the car and I need to replace the exhaust with something very close to OEM sound. I looked for a SS exhaust but they were too expensive and rare. I then started looking for a Fujitsubo, price wise it was great and most likely was the exhaust I was going to order. But after reading the boards about people with OEM exhaust and SC setup I started to wonder if this setup would really work. Why spend extra $$$ if this setup would actually work. Please post your opinions and also your experience. Thanks.

Amer

You are prob. on the right track going with the Fuji. egg sauce. and hell you went SC so I didn't think $$$ was that big of a concern.

Im not sure that putting back on a stock exhaust is smart HP wise, sound wise yes, but going from s/c with single to oem will decrease HP. Enough that you might actually feel the car being slower. (im not sure if this matters to you or not though)

If the hp loss is not that significant like less than 5hp, I don't think it would be a problem.

I plan on running the supercharger with stock exhaust, I will try to have a local schmoe joe exhaust company clean up some of the exhaust points to make it free flowing but I am going for the sleeper idea, fornow at least. I also might get a comptech unit and spray paint it black other than the tips.

Did you ever do a dyno w/ SC setup + stock exhaust and then SC setup + aftermarket exhaust?

I read some post where somebody chopped off the OEM cannisters and replaced them with Magnaflow for better sound/performance.
