Since your mind is set in having boost at lower RPMs and keep it steady to 8psi then you should just go with the turbo kit. Why bother with all these questions when the solution is already done. You are trying to retrofit a kit that is not designed to do this.

Some guy recommended the HKS blowoff valve that can vent through boost. Or using a boost controller, vacum canister and a check valve to fool the blowoff valve could be tried.

Get a normal FI in your car first then decide whats next. By the way, torque is what you feel directly not HP.
Thank you...but I am not a 16 years old kid that got the S from his mom and needs to get explained what you feel and what to buy. If you know anything about the setup I am looking for, please help me, if not feel free to sound clever somewhere else.

I don't want to light up tires @ 2000rpm, I just don't want to go higher than 8psi but like the idea of a smaller pulley.

This question to all the guys who blew their rear end.

What cause it to go out? High rpm launch, shifting gear, etc...

Jakub-

Anyone in your area that has a SC S2K? Go test drive one and see if you like it. The advantage with our SC is you can drive the car normal and feels just like stock. You might can go with a small turbo set at low boost 5-6lb. You'll have plenty of torque down low and won't be too hard on the engine.

Just go ahead and get the 9lb. pulley for the SC. You might build up more torque down low than a smaller pulley. If you don't want to reach the full 9lbs to make your engine last longer, just don't rev to 9000rpm.

My car hauls ass by the way.

There is only one SC (Vortech) in this region, I should have a test drive by the end of this week. Last week my brother raced him on his EVO8 and I was thinking he will get raped, but it was realy not much of a difference till like 100mph. Just for your information, I am beating that evo with my current setup..not by much but still...
the reason why I will go SC is that when I cruise on the highway I am at 5500rpm (4.57 gears)..in this RPM range, the smaller turbo would be at full boost already. I would like to avoid this. The only way would be to have a boost controler, but I have no idea if this will work on the available turbo kits out there. I have dropped the idea of going turbo, the Vortech looks like it simply belongs there (if you know what I mean)
Back to my idea...I heard of some company from UK that has some sort of "boost release valve" that will release the boost at a set level.
Talking about not reving it to 9k...r u crazy?
