Default supercharger question

hi im fairly new to the s2000 community, and planning on purchasing an s2000 very soon, but i am a home modder, my question is how much hp would a supercharger gain, and is it safe and reliable to have in the car? and another question i have is, if i build the motor and go NA will it be able to keep up with a supercharged s2000? or do u suggest a built motor + a supercharger, would this make any difference?

was planning on going with the turbo cuz i did own a gti 1.8t and love turbos, but i keep hearing that turbo kits for s2000 is very dangerouse and un safe/not too reliable.

thank u

I've had my Vortech S/C on the car for more than 25k miles without issue. I'm putting down around 340whp dynojet( so I'm about 400 crank power, thats about as fast as a stock C6 Vette). stock S2k's put down about 200whp~210whp. you will not need any headwork unless you plan on upgrading the pulley to go over 450whp. also, turbo setups can be reliable....the reliability is mainly dependent on the TUNER.

PS. F/I is not CHEAP on this car.

btw if you do a little search in the F/I section, you'll find most of the answers to your questions.
