i've welded a few bell housings becasue of this sort of thing. no problems as far as the trans goes its just ugly. if you get a trans out of this you should try to keep this one and fix it.

new bell housings are around 600, I'd rather go that route than weld it, but if i get a new trans i will fix this one and sell it, i am supposed to get some answers on tuesday regarding the claim from ups

in my ups claims experiences, with something this expensive they will prolyl send a claim rep to his house to see the damage, and assess the packaging. then they will review, and then they will ask usually the shipper for invoice of the cost of the product, or the cost of the repair. then they will decide. if they replace the item, they will ask for it back from my experience. i bet they give money for repair. thats my guess though. if shipper can ham up the fact its broken beyond repair, then yeah they will replace. do you know if shipper insured it for full value? some shippers hedge a bet that it wont disappear, just get damaged.

what drive shaft did you buy from DSS. I know its aluminum but was it already on the s2000 transmission or did you order it for the supra tranny? Supra tranny has a different companion flange.
