Did you not read what I posted? Outside only will really help to kill the manifold. That will keep the heat in, and with on coating on the inside, it will help to destroy the manifold.

304L heat resistance:

"Good oxidation resistance in intermittent service to 870

Thats how my miata turbo manifold was done. It was mild steel though which takes the heat a little better anyways.

hmm that sucks yours failed, Jethot and HPC use the same coatings. They are both subsidiaries of NCOAT inc which happened to originate in oklahoma city, the same place I told OP to call.

nCoat is committed to improving our products through innovation. The company's wholly owned subsidiary High Performance Coatings, Inc ("HPC") was founded in 1982 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. From its first operational year, HPC was established as a worldwide leader in advanced coatings technology. HPC headquarters were eventually moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and are now located in Whitsett, North Carolina. HPC has offices and facilities in Oklahoma, Utah, North Carolina, and Arizona

HPC does not "suck", Im sure you sent it to the arizona location which only can do decorative coatings. Just because one coating that one independent person did in one of HPC's facilities failed doesnt mean they suck. Thats like saying honda sucks just because 1 mechanic at 1 dealership ruined something on your car. haha Go to jet hots website and you will see the same ncoat logo in the upper right corner.
Full-Race sent the manifold to their Arizona location twice. Failed twice. Geoff told me he was no longer going to use HPC because of the issues we had with them. Maybe they have other locations which produce a better product, but yes their Arizona location sucks.

[QUOTE=juntuned,Aug 15 2009, 02:56 PM] There are many different opinions on this. Call up John at hytech and I guarantee he tells you NEVER to put heat wrap on any manifold. It keeps all the heat in the metal and over time deteriorates/weakens the manifold. Its give and take, if you use heat wrap.... this will ultimately keep more heat in, but the manifold will pay the price.

My 2 cents, dont get caught up in numbers. Meaning JETHOT 49,000... jet black super cool 850...

Nah, turbo Hot side will be under a blanket, and I would wrap the manifold but I like the idea of coating the inside, makes sense, plus with all the bends I think the wrap would look sloppy, so Ill just coat it with the black Jethot2000
