Default Talk to me about Comptech 10 psi+ boost

Ok, I'm running 8.6psi currently on a 3.8" pulley.

I'm looking to swap in the 3.6" pulley to make ~10 psi.

1. Will I need a change of headgaskets? It's been discussed many times, however, there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer. Some yes, most no?

2. Will I need to swap map sensors for 10 pound boost? If so, any recommendations - AEM / GM etc?

3. Will I need a Supra PCV valve?

Yesterday we did a compression test on my car after being boosted for 3 months.

240 / 240 / 230 / 240 across the 4 cyclinders.

Guess its healthy and good to go for the next upgrade to 10 pound

Anything else I should be aware of that will require upgrading etc?

I think HG wise you would be fine with 10PSI, but I wouldnt just up the Boost without re-tuning.

As far as MAP sensors HONDAS is supposed to be a Very good one, or DENSO whoever makes it for Honda, I believe the "theory" is anything PAST 10PSI you want to look for a new type of sensor.

I am at 12PSI, but with a lot of Methanol

I'm running CTSC 12 PSI with all stock internal and No Cat. I'm making happy 398whp on DynoPack.
IMO and Other Members,There're No need for thicker head gasket,Since it's SC and it'll take times to build up on that boost level.
Yes,you do needed an aftermarket map sensor and FPR.
I'd recommend TT Supra PCV.
GL.

In my experience, you shouldn't need a headgasket for 10psi. I'm running 12psi on stock internals/stock compression...but it's a 15psi pulley (dynoed fine at 15psi/9krpm). But just in case, redline was capped at 8.5k (12psi), and the EMS is tuned on the safe side (car gets some track time).

I'm on the stock fpr and stock map sensor, so for 10psi, I don't see a need to swap them out (I actually ended up buying the stock fpr and removed my comptech fpr). But I do have the Walbro 255, IP 675cc injectors, IP's fuel rail adapter, and the EMS tuned (most important imo).

I'm also on stock headers, stock cats, and stock exhaust, and managed to hit 348rwhp on a Dynojet (tune is conservative).

Hope that helps.

I have 750cc injectors already, and a 1052U EMS. I run a toda header, and Invidia V3 with Invidia test pipe, yet manage only 305rwhp @ 8.6 pound. Though it is mildly conservative and runs a little rich, but thats because if you adjust the timing it pings and when its too lean, it knocks.

I too am running the stock OEM FPR. Perhaps its time for an upgrade?

The comptech supplied one is an absolute eye saw, and doesn't work well at all with RHD S2000's.... *refer below*

Then you're all set for 10psi! Just swap out that pulley and get it retuned, you should be fine.

Maybe throw in a Walbro fuel pump, if you don't have that yet.

And if I was to go say 3.2" or 3.4" pulley.

Other than the map sensor, headgasket, PCV valve, is there anything to watch out for?

I'd imagine 14-16psi wouldn't require internals - cams etc?

I also have the CTAC kit. I purchased the Aem FIC and am running 550cc injectors. In order to move up to the 10psi and run the FIC do i also keep the Comptech fpr in place as it currently is? I also need to remove the little comptech esm that I had to splice in to my factory ecu correct?
