[QUOTE=CosmosMpower,Dec 16 2008, 12:31 PM] Doesn't the kit come with the 255 lph pump?

No not anymore, in the old pre AC days they threw one in, but now they just "recomend it". Believe me you need it for stock 5.5psi boost so 10psi with injectors will be a big problem.
That doesn't make sense. You need it even for the stock boost but they don't provide it in the kit anymore? I wasn't planning on running more than 5-7 psi.

And if I was to go say 3.2" or 3.4" pulley.

Other than the map sensor, headgasket, PCV valve, is there anything to watch out for?

I'd imagine 14-16psi wouldn't require internals - cams etc?
You should be fine. I'm running a 3.2" pulley on stock map sensor, stock HG, and stock PCV.

BUT, like I mentioned before, I'm capped at 12psi, until I upgrade to a 3mm HG and I switch out to the Supra PCV (already bought it, I just need to install it).

I think you have all the bases covered to run reliably. The only other thing I can think of are the spark plugs. I'm currently running the NGK 7173 copper non-resistors with the EMS, and the car runs great with no issues.

You should be okay. I ran the stock pump with the AP2 pulley, and it still ran rich with the comptech fpr with a vafc on base map. I'm sure the FPR was cranked up though.

The best way is still to install the 255 and run the oem fpr, but you can skip it if you want. I would recommend getting a wideband to monitor your afrs though (I had one to street tune on the vafc). You should get a wideband gauge anyway.

How do you expect the him to enrich his fuel supply if your recommending he have no Comptech fpr and no management (since he is planning on running 5-7psi) and then no fuel pump either, wow great advice! Dont even tell this guy to invest in a EMS for 7psi!

I will tell you from my own experience with tuning the CT kit back when it was in stock form, the stock fuel pump couldn't deliver the fuel required from the fuel pressure increase, which is delivered from the Comptech fpr necessary to run safe levels. At vtec/boost my afrs would shoot up to 15.1-17.1 and fall on its face. Glad I had a wide band. Soon as I swapped in the proper fuel pump the problem was solved.

Currently I'm running 8psi, still on the factory Comptech set up/fpr and a vafc2. I'm beyond maxed fuel pressure but the afrs are hanging in there. Waiting for my AEM FIC so I can bring fuel pressures in better balance and throw a few more pounds of boost for good measure.

whoa there, take it easy. i meant he could just keep the comptech FPR and stock pump, instead of running the 255, swapping out to an oem fpr, and getting tuned on an ems (which i did forgot to type), which IS the best way to do things.

why is it a bad idea to invest in an ems with 7psi? the extra features are worth it imo. not to mention he looks like he does some sort of performance driving (from his sig), where proper partial-throttle tuning would be helpful.

bump for this thread because I am in the middle of this setup (stock CTSC to 10psi)

-just got my ACT clutch intalled and will be putting 500-1000km on it to break it in nicely on NA.

-The charger will have the 3.6" pulley installed on the blower but w/o the belt on the charger.

-FPR and ESM will be removed.

-after 500km on the clutch 750cc injectors, EMS and charger belt will be installed and off to the tuner

If any one can fill in some missing steps or tips please post!
