Default Thinkin about a 3mm HG and ARP studs..

OK first I would like to say I am going to bee running 93 octane pump gas with a direct port methanol injection system so I had 2 questions..

Safe boost level on stock HG and head bolts??

Safe boost level on 3mm HG and ARP studs??

Worth the extra hassle? I have seen many of the threads where people blow a 3mm but it always seems to come down to an error in torquing.. And I think I would rarher pop a farily inexpensive gasket then my not so fairly inexpensive motor!

Thanks,
Corey

lol...

this has been covered to death. arp lists the studs at 80 ftlbs with moly, yet IP says 90tflbs with moly... that right there is a discrepancy in something that needs to be DEAD ON. i wouldnt go any further once that mixed info was given.

stock longblock will allow for about 400-420 with a great tune.

my professional advise; "put your kit on the oem longblock, find your tuner, and let the setup make what it makes."

Sorry to go off topic, but if it isn't to much trouble I'd like to see more info on your direct port meth kit please.

Btw, I'm with TVR. No need to drop comp if you have some meth in there. Make 500whp all day on 93.

The direct port with will be 4 90cc nozzles taped into each runner with a distribution block.. Then an aem meth kit will feed that system..
Nothing overly complex.. And how much boost would you recomend
I run on the stock longblock? Runnin a tubular and 6262 with a .82 hotside..

I have been wanting to do this for a while, but I might just do a race gas tune this winter.

I dunno, I havent driven the car in so long I am going to be more than happy to drive it on low boost for now

Agreed.

550cc large nozzle, so you could easily break that down into 100cc-125cc a runner.

I'm going to upgrade my pumps first if I go that route.

I wonder if the One AEM HD Pump is enough power to suppley 4 of their smaller nozzles? Or maybe get two Kits and have each pump supple two nozzles? Some steel braided lines, this might be really clean and doable. I just don't want to spend any more money on this car
