yup thats what I'm saying ...just need the wideband sensor so you can adjust the fuel pressure regulator ( via a adjustable bolt ) to richen or lean out your air fuel ratio...shoot between 12-12.5 def no leaner then 12.5 at any rpm.
Do you know anyone that runs on stock boost without some kind of engine management or tune?

Also any idea how much it costs to get a tune? I have heard people say 150 and others say 700. I could easily afford a used SC but if I am going to have to add on close to 2000 for engine management and tune plus extra for gauges and other parts that might be pushing it. not to mention a new clutch down the line.

like I said i'm not look for huge gains. 300WHP would make me happy. Hell i would probably be happy with 250whp. Id much rather give up power for reliability. I just haven't seen anyone who buys a SC kit and using the tune that comes with it. Although I guess i don't see anyone running stock boost either.

sorry a little late getting back to you here I've been installing my new nitrous setup the past few days its been eating up my time ...as for anyone who runs no management on stock boost for any SC yes everyone does or has done it because thats the way ALL sc kits come...you can run up to 7psi before having to upgrade anything via management, injectors etc...so if you are not going to go above stock boost you DO NOT need to get a tune or any management...now adding some sort of management could scrape together another 10whp or more with a tune but its not necessary on stock boost...all SC kits come with a map clamp ( small little box ) which hides the boost from the stock ecu so it doesn't freak out...very simple to wire in 4 wires into the stock ecu wire harness...now if you decide NOT to get a tune...you will still need the wideband afr sensor so YOU can adjust the screw on top of the fuel pressure regulator that comes with the SC kits. like I said before to get between 12-12.5 afr...I'm going to get my nitrous setup tuned on Monday for $400...now I also got a quote from another tuner for $600, but that tuner decided to stop emailing me about my tune so he lost my buisness...anyways the bare minimum you need to run anything below 7psi aka 300whp is...walbro 255plh fuel pump, wideband sensor, and maybe a new clutch if yours can't hold that power.

so if you upgrade to higher flowing injectors all you need is a an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and a map clamp or do you also need something like emanage or aem fic?

most kits dont come with the fuel pump unless the seller throws it in. You can get cheap fuel pumps off of ebay.

if you buy them new...sometimes when you get them used the previous owners keep the pump (aka my case when I purchased)...purekoryo to answer your question...if you upgrade to any higher than stock injectors you WILL need some sort of management meaning, aem ems, emanage etc or there will be no way to control them and your stock ecu will think their stock injectors but they will flow more and fuel wash your engine...(probably won't even start)

will start and run (for a little while) even if it is getting way too much fuel, won't run for long, though

ok. pumps don't look to expensive so it isn't a big deal.
