Thinking about going turbo.

Im a redline all the time type of guy. Not sure if I would continue to drive that way with a turbo though. s2000 is my only car, so I would have to be safe.
. Takes a couple weeks to get used to it
.
I met you at Honda Day last year man!
i see you are straying to the dark side....
give me a call if you have ANY questions man whether it'd be about ANY setup out there, from turbo or NA
Honestly for the street, Turbo setups are MORE fun

You'll be scared to drive it up to redline, trust me

the funny thing is that it is soooo true. It took me weeks to finally get the balls to redline it. The powerband is just so smooth, you'll love it. I love boost.

I felt the GT30R was a little to small for this engine. Sure it spools about 1000rpms sooner then the 35r but it starts loosing torque midway up the rpm range where as the gt35r holds it all the way to redline.
Its only 1000rpms earlier...in this car that takes what a second to pass
Just my opinion either way is win win when it comes down to it

My car: GT3076RB @ ~18-19 psi
Kleeckers car: GT35R @ 18 psi
Same turbo kit, same tuner, same dyno, same exhaust.
Both cars could desperately use a more open exhaust. At these flow rates, you can tell that my turbo is closer to it's maximum operating range and the exhaust has a bigger impact on it's performance. Note that at these similar boost levels, the GT3076 makes more power EVERYWHERE in the RPM range below 8,300 RPM. How often do you drive between 8,300 and 9,100 RPM?
The GT3076 has between 50 and 80 addition rwhp between 4,000 and 7,000 RPM. Granted I am boosting about 1 more psi, but even if I lowered that, I'd still be higher through the majority of the powerband.
Now once you get up to the 450+ rwhp range, you would see the GT35R start to dominate. But certainly not for for 400+. For this power level on this turbo kit, GT3076 is the better choice.
