S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Thinking about going turbo.

Frank, best of luck with whatever you decide to go with, but I hope you realize just how much power 480whp is?!? That is an insane amount of power for a car on the street. I was able to whoop just about anything that I ran into on the street, and have plenty of fun with 350whp. 400whp would have been even more fun, but when you start to go above 350whp you no longer get the same kind of traction that you once had (I had ZERO traction issues, could floor it in any gear at any RPM and it would just go where I lost no time spinning my tires). Just some food for thought.
Although I plan on getting a HG over the summer and cranking the boos tup (450hp range); I thought the same thing as you.

With only ~210TQ and ~340rwhp, the car is beastily! I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

I seriously can't even fathom what the hell 450+ hp and ~300 torque feels like in this car

Sorry to semi hijack but has anyone blown there motor after going turbo and running say 7-10 psi on stock block. Just curious because you see plenty of turbo s2's but dont hear of anyone blowing their motor (which is good).

^ its all in the tune, and I think a lot of people on here that do their homework before taking the turbo plunge on here realize this fact. As long as you keep it under 10psi on pump gas and a stock block you should be fine with a solid tune.

Your looking at atleast ~6k and more depending on options. It also depends on if you plan on doing the install yourself or not.
thats another factor.

I can install everything myself, minus the clutch and head gasket. so if I have to pay someone to do the clutch and HG, i better just get it all done in one shot. Id most likely let Ya and the guys there do it after talking to them at Honda Day last year.

Yeah I've done lots of research but I'm waiting for the greddy kit or if I get impatient ill just got with inline pro. Main reason I want greddy is to be carb legal. But ill be installing myself so I'm sure uninstalling and installing every two years won't be too bad.

smirfs2k05

is the greddy kit DEFINATELY going to be carb legal? Just out of curiousity? I read that magazine article, but it didn't say anything about carb legal.

Frank,

You know we'll be glad to take care of you. We have done plenty of cars for customers that aren't "local" to us, and have done our best to stand by our work, so again, if you have any questions at all, give me a hollar!

but good luck with what you pursue with the S, its a great car!

What if you get pulled over and the officer asks to pop your hood?

...I wish I lived in Florida

At first that was going to be the big thing, carb legal. However, recently they said they would be ditching the carb legal idea and maybe, if there is enough interest, in the future they would consider the idea again; so I wouldn't hold your breathe over it.

yeah I'm with smirfs2k05, I live in california and I get harass enough when I drive the supra. I was considering going comptech but they are going out of business so the carb on their s/c will be gone (i think). Hence the reason why I want to go turbo. The S2k need a little bit more power as I drive it daily.

I figure it would cost 6k+ with install and what not. I just want a basic kit with conservative tune. Not looking for any crazy amount of power, just enough to keep me happy The other thing I'm trying to figure out is if I should dump the money in the supra instead of the s2k but I drive the s2k a lot more than the supra so I would enjoy it more. I don't know. Thanks for the help and any more info would be appreciated
