Thinking about raising the redline

FYI, the titanium stuff will need to be inspected more frequently and will not last very long, i would stay OEM (AP2) for Springs & Retainers, as far as valves spend the $300 and get new ones, just make sure the Exhaust ones are the special coating.....
Inconel is a material (a high nickel alloy that can take high temperatures).

Wow! $680 for supertech dual valve springs/ti retainers/spring keepers, inconel ex valves, stainless in valves and valve guides? Thats awesome! Where did you get it all from? Laskey? How much was it for machining the deck to make sure it was straight and valve seats and putting it all together? So also, laskey will do all this for $875? Thats almost half of what i was quoted by another shop!
for the valves springs and retainers, but you must add 3 dollars more for each inconel exhaust valve and then also pay for the seat locators (45 or 50 I think) and then the valve guides which I think were 70 plus shipping cause they were out and had to drop ship them. THis is all ofthe top of my head and I have to verify my paperwork at home but its definitely ball park.
Machining and labor cost cash also though...
I just spoke with Mike at Laskey today and he quoted me $970 for hot tank cleaning, 3 angle valve job, supertech dual valve springs, ti retainers, spring seat locators, inconel ex valves and stainless in valves and free shipping. Thats $600 less than the exact same thing i got quoted from inline pro. Why is inline pro's so much more?
I pm'ed Ya about the price difference to see if they will match it but havent heard anything yet. If they dont match or beat the price, id be an idiot not to go with Mike on that price. Its a great deal in my opinion.
