Yeah does not seem worth it for the money. It may however help cause you push your car pretty hard.
thats alot of the reason why too, it cant hurt anything. I just want my engine to remain healthy. I had a missift over a year ago and it didnt hurt a retainer but it just is always in the back of my head that stock ap1 retainers fail often even on N/A cars.

I purchased all this plus new valve guides. I paid 715 shipped ( i think that may be a deal though and the normal price is about what the guy i quoted paid)

I plan on raising my rev limit up in to the 10.5k area

now that will be sick.

Laskey stage 2 is a great value imo especially considering all you have to do is ship the head. No other labor involved.

http://laskeyracing.com/shop/portflow.htm

$875 shipped back to your door. But then again if youre sending your head out you should just go for stage 3 and get it ported.
It wont make power up there w/o a big turbo and/or cams.

i red line mine to 10.5, unless you are gonna go bigger turbo it is useless. if you trubo cant push the motor that far and still be efficient then dont do it. my car actually starts falling off around 9600. so it all depends on how much air you can push.

maybe a 4 inch exhaust will help..lol

ill go 5" how about it son? lol

Naw, I plan on possibly going bigger turbo wanted to build the head anyways, and figured maybe the redline can also be raised. Still might not raise the revlimit...just depends on some stuff.

Imo stay with stock gears unless you are planning for big power or the car has undergone a major diet. This car at 2800+ lb needs the gears to move especially as the speeds increase. If anything you should be looking at raising your rev limit (which you are doing) and running a taller stickier rear tire (which you should be doing with more power/bigger turbo) to help with the gearing.

Gotcha on both of those accounts. Although a 3.90 diff from puddydad would be nice....my 30R spools around 3500-4500 depending on gear...so lowend grunt isnt an issue whatsoever. But I agree, looking to raise revlimit as the 30R is still picking up power at redline on 12psi. I bet it would make another 20-30whp since teh torque isnt dropping at redline.

Also have 255/45/17 falken 615's right now. Might actually go with a nitto 555r DR after the 615's on the rear are shot. reason for this is the 555r's are streetable and they grip pretty damn well for a DR thats as streetable as they are.
