Thinking of boost
Whats up guys, well after some thought Ive decided to go the FI route but im not too sure about the kits that are out there. I was thinking of something along these lines, I am not very knowledgeable about turbo kits so im just trying to get some insight about the reliability and costs before I get involved
.
I was considering the inlinePro kit with these options
Ball Bearing Turbo Upgrade
Ball Bearing Turbo Coolant Line Kit
inlinePRO 3mm Turbo Headgasket
780cc Injectors
inlinePRO Billet Oil Filter Relocation Kit
3-Bar Map Sensor with Connector & Billet Adaptor Plate
as for Engine management Im not sure on what to get, most people here get the AEM EMS but how about the s300 or the greddy emanage? Which is the better? Just wish they had kpro for 06+
Im also debating the Precision turbo and was originally planning on going with the
Garret GT3076R.
Those of you who already have this kit what is the total cost of the kit? If I have left any necessary parts out please let me know.
Thanks for your help
Any comments or feedback welcome, just looking to gain some more knowledge

s300 is not available for our cars. the only option available for DBW cars i believe is the FIC but i am not positive about this.
i know that the DBW version of kpro should be out soon, but i dont exactly know when.

Just FYI, the cost will not stop right after the installation and tuning (pretty costly and may not right on the first time). Eventually, you may have to put more here and there, such as some "silly" preventive items, plus wear and tear.
So, if your budget is pretty tight, I suggest you to reconsider your temptation to go FI. Plus, you may have some sleepless nights :-) when something go wrong...

Take whatever kits price and double it. That might get you there. I'm not talking specifically about your kit, but kits in general. It's VERY expensive, but worth it in my opinion.
My kit isn't even installed yet and I have almost doubled what I budgeted. I'm into it almost $10k after turbo kit and supplementary upgrades to make it reliable.

also plan on the car breaking down, hell I had to pull my turbo out becuase my manifold cracked, I spent around $150 on tools & a jack and Ill tell you what, its pretty satisfying feeling doing work on your own car, but if you are not willing to get dirty and accept the fact that your car may be down for a few weeks every now and then, DON'T DO IT.

I already have an aftermarket clutch, I also do my own work on my car whenever I can so thats not a problem. But double my budgets just crazy talk. So you guys are basically saying its going to cost me 9-10 grand..
