Glass beads were the media of choice.

Cylinder head is back on. Setting valve clearance is next.










I did punch out the retaining pin and clock the cam gear. 3mm guys have to do this, 2mm guys should as well IMO.

It is a Comptech.

 

Completed the swap today with no issues. Don't mind the elbow-less intake. I have the filter on just for starting purposes. The only issue was during initial start up; my Odyssey PC680 didn't have enough juice so I used my Accord battery to fire her up once I confirmed a positive oil pressure. I'm hoping to retune in about 2-3 weeks.
