would the Toda Racing Spec A Version 2 Cams do any justice to a turbocharged low compression s2000???

 

i'm no camshaft expert, but I remember from my front-drive drag racing days that usually the cams that work well on all motor Hondas usually don't work very well on turbocharged engines.

I remember a buddy of mine with a custom T3/T4 setup on a H22A that put some crazy H22A NA VTEC cams on his car and it ran like ass

I remember reading about how good NA VTEC cams have a lot of overlap, which is not something that you want with a turbo because of blowthrough

 

Get some adjustable cam gears and you can tune out most of the overlap. I don't how wild the Toda cams are for F20C's though.

 

toda went to the limit with the durration specs, etc. since they were meant to be used in NA engines, I wouldn't think they would be optimal for FI... The stock cams as they sit are pretty good for FI apps if you ask me, but I'm not an engineer...

 

these guys are right.

too much overlap + boost is a bad combo...you won't hold boost. get the adj gears....and you'll pick up power by spreading the lobe centers
