Default torque solutions vs. hondata intake manifold gaskets

Looking into purchasing an intake manifold gasket.

Wanted to know a couple things.

1. Do they do what they claim to do?

2. Do they help with Temps on forced induction setups?

3. How does the Torque Solutions gasket comare to the Hondata gasket?

Any information would be appreciated?

personally i would just stay stock. I use to run the hondata intake manifold gasket many years ago in my integra days and after a few years my gasket cracked and became very brittle and just gave my nothing but trouble.

I have the hondata gasket. I don't think it's any noticeaable difference. Prolly not wroth it. Def not worth the time and aggravation to install.

Not worth the trouble at all ! Leave the oem unit in there . I've installed a couple in s2k's and there was no difference at all .

I am running a Blox thermal gasket, same as Hondata but cost a little less. Same material. I have done 2, one wile motor in the car ( total pita!) and last one when engine was out, and the only reason why I decided to do it again. I wouldn't do again if the engine was in the car. But I think like most things bolt on power related, this mod works best with the accompaniment of everything related, such as capping off the coolant at the block so nothing is running through the TB or manifold at all. Then of course having a source of cool/fresh air to the intake with either a snorkel or some other custom cold air intake. These things all together makes a night/day difference on performance I currently enjoy.

My head is actually off the car currently so that's why I was looking into it.
You have a link to a writeup on blocking off the coolant to the manifold, throttle body, etc?

I am running K-Pro so I would like to eliminate all unnecessary vacuums, coolant, emission lines, etc...

I dont off hand, but I know if you do a search you will find a few here. Its been done to varying levels by many on this site. Some have done the "ball bearing" version which just blocks the existing coolant host to the TB which is half assed. You want to block off the entire manifold and that can be done by simply blocking the small 3/8" feed hose coming off the top of the thermostat/large upper hose connection under the manifold, which can be easily reached/found with your head off. Just put the appropriate size rubber cap and clamp on the nipple.

Gizzmo Intake Manifold gasket is by far the best I've tried, and I've tried all of them. Its made of the same material as phelonic spacer that were used on v8's before. No cracking issues and the intake is warm to the touch even with the supercharger fully warm. I've learned my lesson with these heatshield gaskets and always use 2 oem intake manifold gaskets (1 on each side of the heatshield gasket).
