Really, am pushing 530whp on pump, but boost by gears,2nd gears 10psi@400whp+ w/breaking boost, i have a good traction w/it, plus mine just 225/50/16 stock ap1 rims.
this may sound a bit knowitallish, but if you are having zero traction problems on those tires, RT615's on a 225 rear, then you are leaving a lot of power on the table in prolly 1-3 gear. i had 265's on my car and could spin them in second on 10psi boost. im guessin you have the boost turned way down in those first three gears. get better tires, and you can add more power in those gears.

IMHO.

I thought I would have some issues around this, but I've been amazed that I haven't.

Traction also has allot to do with how much negative camber your running and tire pressure. Its an added variable to consider.

1st gear was useless once vtec came on and I spun mine in 2nd gear from 7.5k up in most dry situation with 245's at 9psi. But I was running-3 camber in the back for cornering grip. I'm sure if I was running a more standard -1 camber I would not have had near the issues.

I just wanted to update this thread..
On Saturday I installed my new Dunlop Star Specs 255/40/17 and 225/45/17 after going through a few sets of Falken 615's.

I was spinning in the top of second and third with the Falkens but I have NOT been able to break these new Dunlops from a roll yet in either of those gears. I dont spin in first either because I am limited to 12 pounds via AEM boost by gear.
The Dunlops are very sticky tires IMO and I definitely like them so far.

I will say one things though.. They car gets VERY light in the rear in the 130-140 MPH range. I'm going to try and stiffen my rear coilovers a bit and hopefully that will help with that.

Wile turning? I would think stiffening your rear would make it even worse. If your experiencing this wile doing ricer flybys, then your going to need a ricer wing for down force

I have 255/40/17 sumitomo and with the greddy kit I get loose in 1st and a little in 2nd but I'm also like -2.8 camber in the rear. You can see light under my tires from behind. LOL.

I was in a slight sweep to the left and I went through a section of the freeway that had a dip in it. It just felt like it rebounded a lot in the rear, bringing the rear higher than I felt comfortable with.

I wasn't doing a "ricer fly bye" I was just teaching a lesson to someone who did a ricer fly by to what he thought was a stock S2000.

You are very right about the stiffness and now that I think about it I will NOT be making it stiffer. I had it stiffer in the rear a few months back and was having issues with the rear kicking out on tight turns so I went to a softer setting.. Guess I just need a better set of coilovers that I can adjust rebound on.
