trans question
how high whp/tq numbers can you run before you have to worry about messing up trans? I'll prolly do the puddymod rear end but I really don't have the money for a ppg trans.
600whp, then you better start shopping.
Mine lived for years at ~550whp. Once we went over 600whp, that was all she wrote. Broke 2 second gears in a month, and it was halfway through the gear, so it had nothing to do with shock or clutch engagement. The gears just aren't strong enough at that point.

It was halfway through 2nd gear, just rolling into it. Once boost came up, it sheared the teeth off. Twice.
Torque numbers were around 420-450
Before, when it lasted, they were around 380 or so.
