Default Trying to do a 9 -11 psi setup on new swap

hey so im the owner of a 2002 S and bought it back in November and it lasted me only until 4 weeks ago. This is my setup with a blown motor. InlinePRO Turbocharger Kit
Precision Turbo/Garrett Hybrid BB Turbocharger (GT3076Rb)
(No frame notching necessary)
3mm Headgasket
Oil Filter Relocation Kit
ALL kit upgrades

Stage 3 Competition Clutch

AEM EMS with UEGO option

HKS Hi-Power Dual Exhaust
Test Pipe

i bought a motor and planning to keep it boost but before when i bought the car it came with 20 psi of boost. and it was my daily driver. this time i dont want have another blown engine. bascially the car was good for the first 3 months then their was a clicking noise and then did like a 100 on my way back from the city and the car turn off and there was oil all over the place. so since i bought the enigne and saving up for the labor i just wanted to know [B] would i be able to run 9-11 psi on a stock head gasket? before i had the inline pro 3mm but i dont want to spend the money on the headgasket and labor. that will save me 600 bucks right there in labor and 330 for the gasket. but i dont mind paying for it if necessory. i want to be safe not sorry also. what do u guys think>?

yes. I run a stock HG and it works out better in my opinion. No, you wont be able to run 20psi but 11-12psi would be fine and it would likely be more efficient and a lot more reliable for you.

it would be better for me then because all i would need is like a thousand bucks 500 for the swap and 500 for the turbo installation.

wait so when you bought the car, it was already boosted at 20 psi? do you know how long it was boosted for before that?

Do you know the owner?

I wouldnt mind purchasing a turbo'ed S, but man i would have to know who i'm buying it from and how they drove before i would purchase something like that...

I'm boosting at 11 PSI and i'm completely fine. Stock motor. Ap2. you should be just fine

retainers, they are a good investment but i dont think a port and polish is necessary. I say if you want to do ap2 retainers thats a good option but the port and polish isnt.

hmm.. your definately not going to make the same power obviously.

But with that setup at 10 psi should get you happy results

Sorry to hear about your misfortune..I've been turboed twice on same motor. noting wrong with the first turbo kit, i just needed money so i sold it, got back on my feet and bought another one...

i must again..

I've read alot of your threads Mr Andy and love your kit btw...

the s2000's head flows very well as is. Alot of folks dont even do much more than the 3mm hg.. IF THAT.. as i've seen folks on here that didnt do that mod and still are runnning alot of power...such as andy lol...

I on the other hand will be doing this mod.. and going hondata.. ptuning is where my car is being done at
