Default Trying to make DIY oil filter relocator

Trying to use this kit:
http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...e&apwidAza9heF

but can't get the Honda 90015-PH1-013 oil adaptor to screw in the block at ALL!!! The threads are perfect and the factory one goes in like butter. ????

What is going on? Anyone else run into this problem? I have multiple 90015-PH1-013's brand new out of the package and all won't screw in at all.

They are different threads on each end maybe try flipping it over?

Make sure you didnt bugger the threads from trying to install it different times and didnt mess anything up when taking the old one out. When i did mineit was a little harsh going in but was able to thread inmost of the way by hand and then used the adapter to screw it in the rest of the way.

Yea, different sizes but even my GF couldn't mistake the 2 lol And I haven't messed up the threads on either pieces but I feel like if i force this piece in then I will. Steel vs. aluminum, the block would lose. Thats why it doesn't make sense that the stock one goes on absolutely no problem with finger all the way. Its almost as soon as the other piece starts to turn its gets tight. And like I said I have multiple little fittings brand new so it's not like I just got a weird one or something.

No lol ....no way you could use the fitting with the oil cooler. Also, have a Kings Performance sidewinder so room is very limited.

if ur relocating ur filter u could take the piece the filter screws on to, to get taped for the oem bolt and use the oil cooler..if u need pics of it done i'll post 1 up
take ur oem bolt and the replacement one and match them up together make sure the thread pitch is the same

I have built several and created a DIY a while back (See my Sig). I would HIGHLY recomend that you high quality proven parts, personally I would not trust that kit and stick with quality hoses, fittings..... Secondly you need to ensure that you hook everything up correctly failure to pay attention here and you will be buying a new motor.
