Default Tstat / Headstuds / HG

Been checking out various threads on here for over 2 hrs with varying info...hoping some of you might be able to answer on one thread for me:

GTX-3076 R @ 18psi => 500WHP / 356 TQ
93 Oct w/ 50% methanol injection
** ALL OEM Block/head

1.) Thermostat - OEM best replace ? What's the average TIME to replace with nothing else removed ?

2.) Headstuds - Do I need at 18psi and 500whp or am I OK with stock OEM bolts ? I don't want to open the head unless theres a reason. $$

3.) HG - OEM stock thickness seems the consensis....Honda or aftermarket ?

Thanks ! />

Stock unopened block for anything under 600whp. 18psi is alot for pump gas and I wouldn't reccomend it unless you have lowered the compression ratio.

14psi seems to be the most common stopping point for pump gas.

18 psi on meth and 93 is no problem. You'll be fine.

OK thanks, sounds like I DO NOT need headstuds unless others give me some reason why I would but it sounds like stock is cool. />

* Now, car was running HOT (4-5 bars/no aftermarket gauges) and thermostat was stuck closed so OEM replacement on Monday should fix that problem. Going to run a compression test just to make sure everything is OK. Car doesn't have 500 miles on it with turbo so I don't think head or HG could be failing after such short time and hopefully that's the case !

* How long time to fix a thermostat ?
* How long to run a compression test ?

Thanks all !! />
