And will go for the c38-91 option too. In Australia so hope that's not a problem

Question... Is there any reason that we couldn't get the 92? According to the specs the intake mouth is 89mm vs 76mm (approx 1/2") on the 91 and or the 81. I assume there might be a fitment issue with the intake piping and the radius it would need to make entering the blower.

Thoughts?

Is there a pulley to expected boost chart on the website? I can't seem to locate one. I assume we will need to specify this on our order right?

Also, I know that the video posted for the 18psi dyno says stock block, but is a thicker HG recommended/needed?

Cheers

A 92 would fit but to get any sort of improvement over the 91 you would need 4 inch pipework and bigger filter which there isn't enough room for. You could just fit a big filter but it would pull all the air in off the radiator.

The boost depends on how all the restrictions affect the airflow. So that's, intake system, size of engine, efficiency of engine, exhaust size, cam overlap. Just loads of variables. You can work out airflow on a loose charger from Rotrex's website flow maps. It shows what's possible with no losses.
The over riding factor on power is not boost or compression ratio it Octane of fuel. This is a big limiting factor. You can run the race kit and see 18psi, you can run stock compression but if the fuel knocks then you have to pull back the ignition and this limits power. The nice thing with a supercharger is, is that peak boost is at peak revs, so you may not need to pull back ignition in the mid range as the boost isn't so great. the mid becomes very efficient and makes good power, you just have to nose it over at the top end to stop it destroying itself. If you run E85 or W/m inj or 109 + race gas your gains over 93 oct can be monstrous.

So how restrictive is the stock kit vs. the race kit? Is the piping diameter and intercooler that restrictive you see a 3-4psi loss if you dont use race option? So you are boosting 15psi but only seeing 11-12psi at manifold? What are the differences in kits?

Thanks for the reply mate. Sorry I am a little confused as to why there are different pulley sizes on the website. I'm coming from using an SOS kit, and their kits work on a smaller pulley to generate higher boost levels. The problem I'm finding however is that if you want 3.2" or less, then you suffer from belt slip. Not what I want at all, so I'm hoping to get a kit that can maintain the power.

Oh and I am already running on e85, so I look forward to seeing the results
