tuning f22c
Search it man.
Higher RPM can be had with an EMS or an 00-03 ECU, so far no troubles from the people that tried it. As for doing this while supercharged, with the EMS you're golden, no idea how safe it would be with the stock sc fuel management box.

I know of one personally revving to 9 w/ 2.2 and so far no problems since the installed.
So we can't sit here and say yes its true or no its not true.
It is true that it's worked for the people i've personally seen. but don't know about any that has failed.

There are a few West coast NA track only F22's that had very short lifespan's reving to 9K.
There are several threads covering 2.2L's at high rpm, pics included.
If I had a 2.2, I wouldn't be turning it to 9.
timg would be the guy to ask, he's using a built 2.2 with a custom turbo.

The 2.2 will easily rev to 9k but it will not last long due to the high side loads put on the rods. From personal experience 8500 seems to be the reliable redline on the 2.2 even with FI.
