From what I've read here, supercharger setups seem to break just as often as turbo setups do. Plenty of guys have had to rebuild their superchargers or deal with broken idler pulleys. FI isn't just a bolt-on-and-forget-it thing. In my opinion, most of the failures of either type tend to be due to people buying cheap parts, not doing supporting mods, pushing too much boost or not installing things correctly.

The Ptuning kit seems to be a pretty reliable turbo solution. I haven't heard of any failures with that kit yet, though it hasn't been on the market as long as some of the other setups.
