Default turbo ap2 s2000

so i finally got to installing my turbo kit on last week and noticed there was smoking everytime the car got warm only at idle. it seems to be coming out of the exhaust and its oil burning. I took off a piece of intercooler piping to see if there was any oil and didnt see anything. not sure if its a bad turbo seal or too much oil pressure? any advise on other ways to check if its the turbo seal or not ? thanks in advance

What kind of turbo are you using? Have you done a compression test? Where do you have oil feeding the turbo from?

I sprayed down the car yesterday and noticed little oil in the exhaust, I'm running a 50 trim Turbonetics and currently using 5w30 valvoline max life I usually run mobile 1 but they were out when I went to buy it

i had that issue only at idle on a precision journal bearing turbo. it would smoke only at idle, the fix was i bought a nitrous jet fitting, .65 and it cleared that problem up quick. and turbo never had issues for the next year until i grenaded engine and pieces of valves destroyed it, wich had nothing to do with restrictor.

Thanks guys I raised the car on a lift and noticed the return line wasnt on all the way and little oil was escaping, and it wouldn't stay tight it would keep sliding off. Ima replace it and see what happens
