Default Turbo and cooling system

On my setup, I noticed that my coolant temp runs hot IMO. While cruising at 70mph, it is 217 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm pretty sure its because my huge intercooler is blocking the whole radiator.

My question is, who, with a FMIC, has changed their radiators to more efficient models and noticed decent changes in coolant temp with what radiator?

Also, I had a question on the AEM EMS and coolant temp. Today while filling up with E85, I could not get the car started up for the life of me. We popped the hood, looked at things and waited a few minutes. Then it started right up. I noticed the coolant temp was decently high while cruising now. When we in another town, the same thing happened, and I suspected maybe there was a safety in the AEM EMS with the coolant temp. It was sitting at 212 degrees not starting and I just waited for it to drop to 203 and then it started right up. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

I also noticed that when I turn the car off, no fans turn on. Can this be controlled with the AEM EMS?

Thanks

How will an oil cooler help my coolant temp in this situation?

my FMIC blocks my whole radiator, and i don't have those problems, is your AEM calibrated/displaying the temps correctly? i believe there is an extra step that you have to take to make that happen

After doing some research, it looks like I can setup when the fan comes on through options -> configure outputs and then have the radiator fan (LS8 output) come on when the following conditions I choose are met: temp, load, TPS percent, speed, and rpm.

Does the EMS not come configured for this because I can't find where the default values are? I know the fans kicked on when we burped the coolant. I think I'm overthinking this.

Wow man. Those are some high temps for highway driving. Maybe your values in the AEM are off?

I have the Koyo radiator, Mishimoto fan shroud and thin fans and a big ole 800 hp intercooler and my temps are around 185 deg with highway cruising. Let me tell you, when those fans come on at 200 deg, they move some f****** air. They also sound super sweet. I never really noticed much of a change in temp between the factory radiator and the Koyo though, but I never really watched it too closely before either. I just know that my cooling system rocks. LOL

You have an AEM EMS, it doesn't read temperature correctly...that's your problem

doesnt READ or doesnt DISPLAY correctly?

just put in the updated values for the the temp output and should be fine.
