Default Turbo Done Right

Hey all the turbo guys out there (ones that have their kits done right).

Did going turbo pose a lot more maintenance work on your heads? I'm just finishing up my cosmetics this winter, and I am SOOO tempted to go turbo around spring when more money rolls in . Afterall I have a 1052 and 8 gallons of amsoil 10w40 sitting in my closet waiting to be used.

I know people are gonna say "its all in the tune" and Ive got that covered, but in terms of shortened oil-change intervals, fluid changes, and tightening clamps and bolts, is it a huge headache? MY05 is my dd in the summer but I wanna have some more fun while driving it, but I'm not going to give up much more practicality as the car barely has any lol.

Didnt quite know how to ask this in a shorter form, but you guys should know where Im coming from.

see ya

things i would do sooner if i were to boost again:

*Save a grand for every grand you spend on FI!
*Stay away from piggy backs, your going to want to pick up a fullstand alone.
*Stay away from log style, restrictive manifolds.
*Start relocatings your ac lines now, plan ahead of your build.
*Install clutch asap.
*keep a replacement diff, or buy an upgrade.

good luck!

Buy the right parts and you won't have to worry as much.

I pop my hood before I drive every time - check bolts every month or so. Monitor fluid levels/temps closely

...........wouldn't you rather pop that hood BEFORE driving it, finding something loose or broken and not go anywhere so you don't get yourself in a jam when rolling, or something fails and you lose control and someone that's with you could die because of an accident that you could've prevented by just popping the hood in the first place?

niether would I.. carry on

Honestly if I had to do it all over again I would just go back to a supercharger. (And I have had one supercharger and two turbo kits now on my car)
I am about complete with my inline pro turbo install and I am honestly ready to sell the car after the whole fiasco.
The honest story with turbo kits seem to be "if its not one thing its another thing".
