Turbo Done Right
If your local to ultimate racing then go and get their kit and have them install it. They make some good products IMO and I have heard they are really good to work with if you live up there.
^ I have the Ultimate Racing kit w/ AEM EMS. Good stuff, I'm very happy with it.
I dd my turbo S2k. I pop the hood when I get gas to check oil levels, check for leaks, etc. I monitor my A/F and Temps, etc via the gauges in the car.
Other than that...I drive it. Sometimes I drive it hard, sometimes not, but she always treats me right.
To me it's no extra hassle. Do it right, do your research, and do your maintenance and you should be fine. If I could pass emissions it would be perfect

The problem with turbo that I see is that those that always try to piece everything together themselves and don't know what they are doing end up spending more than they should and are unhappy in the end.
If you buy a good bolt on kit with a stand alone and have a reliable tuner/installer you will be very happy.
So basically don't be cheap!

Pretty much everything else is going to be a lot of work and time. I went from a Greddy kit to my Inline Pro kit and The inline pro kit is not even close to being as well designed and easy to install as the Greddy.
Too bad the Greddy kit cant make 400 hp...
hmm i know that i have the ems and fuel pump already so besides injectors, i consider the UR kit bolt-on since it bolts up to stock cat location, and no relocation of battery or fusebox is needed.

yup, im def. gonna go with UR next year. I'm going to be running amsoil 10w40 which i bought a while ago for dirt
. Do you guys feel the need for shortened oil change intervals? if so, how often? And along with my wideband I will grab a serial guage so I can monitor the things you guys mentioned. Damn you guys got me all on this again lol.
btw did you get your UR kit with the tial or hks bov? for some reason all the UR'd cars i've seen run the hks.
I do plan to change those oil filter relocation silicon lines to SS Braided for a piece of mind

In my Setup i have the HKS SSQ Limited Blow Off Valve (the black one in other words
) In all honesty I got it because 1. I've heard nothing but good things about this BOV, 2. I really like HKS
, and 3. because it was black.
As to reduced oil change intervals...I change my oil every 3000 miles now (used to change every 7500) This is not cheap since I run full synthetic, but it's not bad at all. Plus the oil filter location is SO much better now (IMO) due to the relocation kit

Wow.
I am supercharged and, unlike Camuman, I don't worry. But, my car's not a daily driver. Even so, I have never had any problems. I run a good amount of boost through the stock motor, bigger injectors, EMS, and I have learned to tune using some great resources out there (another headache saver). I haven't had so much as a boost leak to worry about.
The thing is, I know turbos are faster and more efficient. But I feel like I get 80/85% of the performance with zero headaches. My car is tracked, driven during summer, whatever...I don't really worry.
That being said, a ride in a turbo S2000 track car done right would probably change my mind. lol

the only thing i bring with me to the dragon is a tire plug kit and an extra blower belt

hows that for not worrying

I can't drive my turbo s daily and it sucks. It's quick and it's fun but you have dumb little issues you just have to keep an eye out. If it's 30 degrees my car won't start either with the aem 40+ it's fine. It loud an it's more cumbersome to drive the higher hp you go that's with any car don't forget state inspection and emissions. I have had everything nitrous sc turbo 3 times. Power wise turbo is the best. Sometimes I wish I could just press a reset button in the winter and pt everything back in the summer. I think imma buy another stock s2000 to dd
