dean, your 4.44 gears should be a good match for the Greddy kit. The combination should give you excellent driveability (assuming you don't encounter one of the problems that others are reporting with the Greddy kit).

Both the Greddy kit and a set of 4.44 gears are in my plan, once the bugs have been worked out of the kit.
Thanks, my CFO feels better now that she knows that I won't need to swap out the gears too.

Other than people trying to run the Greddy kit straight out of the box on other than stock setups and without a tune, what sort of problems are other people having with the kit?
I'll still be running the catalytic convertor and SuperSprint exhaust (65mm) on mine, so I don't foresee the Greddy map being too far out of line for my car running at stock boost.

With my new retune after the meth kit, i will be a little over 500whp. I don't shift a lot now might be in the future.

if you're shooting for the stock kit/boost you should be fine.

You will need to keep the 4.44 gears to make up for the lack of power the greddy kit puts out
Hmm mine puts down the same power as any other in its turbo size range and at the boost I'm running. The torque band is better than SC also.

Maybe you should think before you post.

What bugs are you referring to, b/c I'm planning on purchasing the kit very soon.

It would be nice if the search function worked...

I've seen reports of boost spiking, boost creep, knocking, hard starting, missing components.

I've also seen reports from guys who have had no problems at all.

I see nothing unusual about teething problems with a new kit, and I do plan to get one in a little while after the bugs are worked out.

I dont have to think about anything.

The greddy kit so ar has been proven to be the lowest power producing turbo made for the s2000.
