Arrow Is this turbo going to meet my goals?

It's been a whirlwind 24 hours. I thought I had this turbo thing figured out and now my installer says I'm pointed in the wrong direction with my turbo choice. I want to have a quick spooling turbo that I can auto-x with. My hp goals are around 325 for now. This is the turbo I have. Will it be inefficent for what I'm trying to do? I have a 60trim t3/t4 hybrid. http://www.turboneticsinc.com/turbo_t3t4.htm I'm thinking what I really want is a 50 trim.

Someone get me pointed in the right direction please.

I would call turbonetics direct and talk to them.

50 trim is a great turbo, and referred to as the "pump gas king" in the evo community due to it doing up to 500whp with pump gas + methanol. It is usually preffered over the GT3076R as it makes more power, and is less laggy.

The 60 trim is quite a bit laggier than the GT3076R. The 60 trim seems to max out around 500 whp. It will work well for street driving, but may be a bit laggy for autocross. The 50 trim is smaller than the 60 trim. Without the methanol, I doubt that you would be able to break 425-450 whp on pump gas. The GT3071R should spool faster than both of them and make just as much power. The big issue with the T3/T4 hybrids is that they are generally not BB and their turbines are larger than the equivalent GT series turbine. Smaller turbine = faster spool. If you really want instant boost, a GT28 based turbo may be the way to go.
