Default turbo heat soak

i have two questions. first, is the air going into your engine cooler from a turbo cause it has an intercooler or a S/C cause it doesnt run off the exhaust manifold. second, how many people move their fuse box cause of it melting? can you get away with a heat sheild using a small turbo under 400whp?

IAT's from FI depend on a lot of factors

- Size of turbo or blower
- Amount of boost produced
- Efficiency of intercooler or aftercooler
- Ambient air temp

Not so easy to just say "this one runs cooler than this one" without taking in all the factors. But, the majority of the time a SC will run cooler because it, as you noted, does not run off spent exhaust gasses.

Moving the fuse box depends on the type of manifold setup you run. Look at pics of the different kits in this forum to determine which ones need to move. Same thing applies for a heat shield.
