turbo kit ? fuel management ? and other misc?
ok hey guys, im looking to buy and get either a inline pro stage 1 kit or a ptuning kit (GT3582R) installed, i will not be doing the work myself, due to time and well its just to big of a job and i dont feel comfortable taking it on. I have a goal of 375-450 to the wheels, but more leaning towards 400 as its a nice round number. also what PSI would i be riunning around to get that number?
a little about me i have owned the car since it was new in 2007, it has 27K on the clock and is bone stock. the powertrain warranty expires in april so thats when im looking to get this done. i am only home thurs-sun and would want it to be reliable that i dont have to tinker and just enjoy it. i put maybe 200miles a weekend on it as of now.
but i have some questions, are these numbers reasonable on a stock car, including stock exhaust?
are they safe numbers since i am not built (i think so since ive seen others with higher and they arent built)
are the kits reliable? which should i go with?
now the biggest difference i see between the 2 kits is the fuel management, the inline pro uses the AEM EMS version 2 and the ptuning uses Hondata FlashPro what are the pros and the cons of these systems.
In my research i found that the AEM does not retain the use of the stock temperature gauge? is this true? i also read that it does not keep a OBDII does that mean that it does not throw CELs and if it does how do you check? since going to autozone for a free read would not be plausible without OBDII. what other things does this particular system eliminate from use that i would miss from a stock car? also read that the imobilizer doesnt work? are these true or was that for an older product?
what about the Hondata flash pro? havent heard anyhting about things not working, but then again it also took 4 hours of reading to find the info on the AEM.
thanks in advance

Im sure i will have more questions

Im sure i will have more questions
I use aem ems series 1 -1052u and it works great. the only bad thing about that is if your in a state that requires you to get emissions that uses the OBD system you will have to swap your aem ems out for yoru stock ecu and use stock injectors to go to your inspection.
Never used the Kpro or Flashpro, but i do know that they're OBD compatible. You can use your factory ecu or the Kpro acts as your factory ecu because it is actually a rsx type s ecu. only bad thing about that is you will have to change out all your sensors like the cam shaft sensor i think and a couple of other ones. If you have a 06+ i would go with the flashpro since it only costs 700 i think. The kpro will run you about 2000 bucks for everything and the aem ems will run you about 1400 bucks if you get a new one and 700-1300 depending on which series and model you decide to go with.

If you can afford it, go with ptuning. Any of the stage 1 kits/log manifolds are more for budget builds. You will make power a lot easier and a lot safer with a better (than log) manifold.
I don't think it will be a problem to hit 400whp on stock engine, stock exhaust with a good manifold and a gt35.
You will want to use flashpro as your EMS, regardless of which kit you go with. (You can get any kit with any EMS, you will just have to talk to someone)

Im thinking im leaning more towards Hondata flashpro so i can retain my OBDII just in case they start emmison testing in SOVA, and also i can check CELs with it.
but im sure that it will lose something, or interfere with a stock function of the car, and im wondering what that might be.
i just don't see how the ptuning kit is so much more? its $8,320 not installed with fuel and engine mangement VS. $5,495 with fuel and management for the inline pro. what makes the kit that much more expensive? i dont wanna be cheap but then again i dont want to throw money away either.
any comments on the numbers im wanting? reliability questions? etc? form my first post.
(i know its a new thread but i dont ant things kicked over and not answered)

buy the used ptuning kit in the FS section, 6k with a lot of upgrades over the standard ptuning kit. then you can get a used flashpro for 500-550, and injectors for another 400-500.
Log manifolds are a lot cheaper than other manifolds, and they also suck.
That is what is good about flashpro, and I think Hondata in general. You don't give up things.
Like I said, it should be easy to make those numbers, and you shouldn't be worried about reliability at that level. (though some people pop their diffs and axles at stock power, via launching)
I'm sure the ptuning kit is a lot more complete, and it comes with a lot more components than the ILP kit.
If you want to be cheap and just get the basic, then do the ILP kit. If you want to spend a little more to do it really well the first time, then go PTuning. They are also going to be having a sale at the end of this month/early next month, if for some reason you can't bring yourself to buy used components.

The primary difference is that log manifolds are less efficient, so you have to run higher boost pressure to make the same power. I've seen some very good results from the IP Stage 1 lately, but they were at pretty high psi. Ptuning's setup will make the same or more power at lower boost pressure, and thus less stress on your engine. (But more stress on your trans and diff, since it's more power.)
They're both good choices, but for different results. If you have the money I'd go Ptuning.

im trying to avoid buying used.
what type of psi numbers would i be looking at for that Hp with the ILP kit? and Ptuning kit? (i know it depends on atmosphere etc)
also on a stock block with a stock HG and stock internals what kind of PSI can you run safely and have a reliable car?
what PSI/HP can these blocks handle before you start breaking things, and wanna think about upgrading things is it well past the 400 mark that im going for?
thanks for the help so far guys, it seems that wheneveri have almost made up my mind i get 3259092 more questions that crop up.

Why not go for the Trackforged kit, makes good power and looks super sexy!!! Same deal as ptuning, just need fuel and ems. Not saying one is better than the other. Just coming from a budget perspective, TF is a bit cheaper.
