Default Turbo kit question.

I own a AP1 s2000.

I want to buy a turbo kit, which one is the best one out there if I want to keep my car pump gas,
Stock compression 11:1, and want to make at least 420whp??? I want something that I don't have to
relocate the battery, more just like a bolt on turbo kit! I want a kit that brings everything.

Other questions.

Do you keep the OEM computer or do I need a standalone?

I have a stock trans with competition clutch stage 2, will that hold 420whp?

I heard the differential is really weak, do I need to upgrade my differential? if I do what do you recommend?

Whats the best exhaust under 1k for turbocharged s2k?

Please be gentle lol.

I think you're going to get many opinions on turbo kits. The pruning kit lets you keep your battery, fuse box and ac lines in the oem location. There's probably others as well.

The consensus on this website seems to be standalone usually AEM. Some run kpro.

That's all I've really researched so I will let others comment on the rest.

I did my research, but the topics I found on Google are 2-3 years old, I thought maybe now days there is something better out there.

Out of those kits you mentioned, which one are bolt ons and which one are a pain in the ass to install?

do you know if my clutch will hold that much power?

I know this question have been ask before (thousands of times) but everyone has different goals with their car and different mods already done to it.

Thank you.

I ran 405whp on my SC setup with my CC stage 2 no issues. Turbo has a diff powerband tho. I'm turboed now and I just swapped the CC stage 2 disc with a CC stage 4 disc they use the sane pressure plate. The disc was only like $130ish.

I would do the new fullblown kit. No relocation necessary, just a lot of heat wrap/management. You will need a standalone. Depending on what year AP1 probably upgraded oil banjo bolts, and at least ap2 retainers, and ID1000/ a Walbro 255lph fuel pump at minimum and will have to tap your oilpan for the return line. Thats' about it, and it should hit 420whp on pump gas no problem.
