Highest I have seen was 495 on pump gas and a dyno-pack dyno at 16psi, tuner said higher then 16psi was capable but you'll be out of the compressor efficency range. So probably 530ish is possible on pump with the right tuner and manifold.
i know dyno packs read a bit higher but that would be more then enough for me. thank you.

GT3071R is a great turbo for quick spool and 400 whp. If you want 450-500, you need to consider at a minimum the GT3076R. It will spool a bit slower, but still spools faster than the GT35R.

You want at least a 0.82 a/r turbine housing with a GT30R. I have run both the 0.63 and 0.82.

Tim
appreciate your input very much. I think the GT3071R may be more suited for my needs. May I ask if you have any reommendations as to whther going with the 2.75" or 4" inlet on the compressor? thinking 4" at the moment, but not sure if there would be an advantage going smaller.

I completely forgot the most important question.....

Is the turbo mentioned above both oil and liquid cooled? If not any recommendations for a similar turbo that is for my goals?

since this will be a track set up I would feel better having both rather then just one.

Garrett GT series are water cooled, so they use both oil and water lines.

IMO, Look into the Fullrace mani. Contact your local tuner cause 500 outta a 30R might push the daily driver envelope. I'm running a 30R in the low 400's for reliability and have plenty enough power for my use..

i did actually anmd I was told to shoot for low 400's with that turbo. it's fine by me, should be more then enough power for track use. should help traction also with a little less.

30R with a proper tune is the absolute best set-up for tracking. Pushing over low/mid 400's would ruin your track drive. Lots of guys are pretty impressive with over 500, but how much of that is usable on the asphalt?

No traction problems here

I'd really like to know how many people say they are going to track their car yet never have / will. I know I was one of them, till I finally stoped lying to myself
