dude if u cant afford a greddy kit (ive seen used for 2-3k with the EMU and everything) than you cant afford to go FI with your S. Its the cheapest turbo solution for our car. u might be able to piece together a cheaper kit but itll be all crap items. dont spend like an idiot and save up and by a bolt on kit. most people who go with custom kits do it for huge power. and even they say its a hassle to get every part to work with each other.

I always thought the Greddy kit was expensive as well.

It was a great deal about a year ago when the kit could be had for $4,000 shipped. Now at $5,000-5,500, it's peeks into inline pro territory.

However, the used greddy kits are a basement bargain!

280-300 HP will NOT be enough. You say it will be now but it simply will not be. Trust me I know.

Also if going FI and you plan on spending only 2-3 grand, be sure to have an extra 2-3 grand for all the things you will buy soon after.

1)Would a T3/T4 be okay for 300whp?
2)At 7psi making 280-300 what size injectors would i need?
3)Would the stock fuel pump be enough?
4)E-manage Blue enough for smooth idling and tuning or should i get Ultimate.
1) should be fine on stock compression for that power.
2) i would say somewhere around 550 or so. there is no reason not to go a bit bigger, however.
3) no. you could probably get away with it, but why risk it?
4) i would actually recommend the FIC over the emanage ultimate, unless you have a very reputable emanage tuner in your area. in the case of EMB vs EMU, go with the EMU.

if you are looking for cheap parts, i've got some

I think it is tuner driven. Apparently there are many quirks to the emanage and improper connections in the available harness and only a very well experienced emanage tuner will know the the nuances of the unit and rewire the harness.

Maybe the FIC isn't like this?

I've read of more problems with the FIC, I didn't even know the s2000 was fully functional yet...

At least with the EMU you can research and be aware of the known issues...
