Default which turbo to upgrade too?

I'm going to upgrade my turbo soon. I have to gt30r right now. Should I upgrade to the gt35r or the gt42r? What would be the main differences. Or any other recommendations?

i would think 35r, better overall powerband while still can support high boost and hp. the 42 would seem like it would take so long to spool and would be better for a dyno queen setup, although the 42 would have great High boost numbers. really depends on what your use for the car is

I just want something that will produce a lot of power and doesn't take a hour to spool.

Then don't get the GT42R.

The GT35R will fit your bill just fine. I'm sure it will hold you over for a while.

I am not sure a 42r will fit on you InlinePro kit... The frame will need to be notched for the 35r to begin with... Not sure how much you can notch out (if you can take enough to fit the 42r).

The 35r is the compromise between the quick spool/lower power of the 30r and the slow spool/high power of the 42r.

What is your goal hp wise? What PSI are you looking to run? Anything under mid-20psi, I would go with the 35r. Higher than 25-30psi, 42r.

probably 22psi's. Is there another type of turbo that might work besides the gt turbo?

right I'm using 93oct. I plan on building the motor in the future. Right now I just want to upgrade the turbo. It takes forever to spool.

so you want to upgrade a 30R to a 35R because you think the 35R is gonna spool faster?! lol. I dont think you have a 30R cause it hits at 4000-4500 ( full boost ).
