I don't see why you jumped straight to the 42R in the first place.

There is also the Garrett T04Z (DBB), GT4088R, and GT4094R. Again, as stated earlier, I would not run any of these without a built bottom end; unless I was going to keep the boost low.

so you want to upgrade a 30R to a 35R because you think the 35R is gonna spool faster?! lol. I dont think you have a 30R cause it hits at 4000-4500 ( full boost ).
The GT35R will spool around the same time. Go find Kutsujula's Dyno Graph and you will see.

right I'm using 93oct. I plan on building the motor in the future. Right now I just want to upgrade the turbo. It takes forever to spool.
Do some research on how a turbo works.

You need to downgrade your turbo to accomplish your goals.

depends on the turbo..

he had some a unique turbo (gt3082 or something)

a 3071 or 3076 will most def spool quicker than a gt35

yeah i'm pretty sure the bigger turbo the longer spool so you wanna get smaller turbo for quicker spool, you can work on making your kit more efficient instead of replacing turbo

I will be replacing the injectors soon as well as getting the aem ecu. I've maxed out my 675 injectors at 415 hp and it just seems the turbo takes way to long to spool. Once it's spooled the cars a monster.

It might have been. Someone said I had a gt30r I have to check the paperwork and see if it says on there exactly what it is.

yea let us know; im just surprised if it was a gt30r and you were unhappy with the spool (unless it's that oddball gt3082 which I doubt)
