Yep.

Used turbo= $300
New cheap turbo= $600
New quality turbo= $900
New BB turbo= $1300
Wheel upgrades= $300

You can upgrade the pulley of course on a SC but its not the same.

Turbo's are expensive? i built my turbo kit for under $3,000. i make 6 pounds of boost and 290hp. i had it tuned and have had to do no upkeep. so i don't know were that comes from. but i guess sc don't need new belts or to tighten them at all! come on its all what you want and that is it. a turbo is fine if your smart and don't try to make 15 pounds of boost on a 11:1 piston. same with a super charger. boost is boost.

To make big power with the big boys, as it's stated, I'd definitely go with Turbo. It's true that boost is boost, but using wasted energy instead of running the compressor off the crank is definitely the better way to go if power is your main goal. That being said, I'd be bit reluctant to actually put a turbo on my car. The reality of the situation is... superchargers are the more prevalent and more reliable option. I'm not claiming that turbos are inherently less reliable, just that more time and research done by Vortech and Comptech has made the supercharger more user friendly. Just about every turbo installation is a one-off, they have the capability to be just as trouble-free and reliable as the superchargers but with everyone doing it differently... it's more of a risk.

I have a Comptech S/C but I voted Turbo - The reason is you said "Big Boys" I think turbo is the way to go if you want mad power, I am sticking with a S/C because of the linear power delivery on the track! I should be pushing 440 ish to the wheels w/ 14 pounds and a fully built motor - I hope the horsepower bug will be satisfied for awhile!

I was thinking about this for 2 long years since I got my first S.I wanted to go turbo, than SC, than turbo again finally wanted to order a Vortech..today my LOVEFAB kit has arrived and I can't wait to hear that thing spool. SC is fone from 7500-9000rpm.This GT30R should be fine from 4000-9000rpm
BTW, it all depens on how big those Big boys will be...with a stock SC, those Big boys will be very small

I would sugges people stop posting stupid questions like these and learn to use the search function. This question has only been asked about 300 times...
