Default TWM ITB'S?

NOW BEFORE I GET BUTTRAPED FOR POSTING SOMETHING ON ITBS IN THIS THREAD FOR FI HEAR ME OUT..

Now i know when building all motor cars that ITB'S work great at making power. i also know that when u add a plenum it makes them work alot better..

i would like to hear ur thoughts on using ITB'S with eather a KW S/C or even a small bolt on turbo kit like the one from MASE...
it seems that u hit a wall when it comes to mods for a s2k.. and would it b worth the money to take my 06 motor and ecu and swap them out for something non drive by wire..

I'm pretty sure this part of your statement isn't accurate. IIRC adding a plenum kills a lot of the increases noticed from ITBs.

im not to sure about that cause if u were to add the air box to the ITB'S u can now pull cold air in instead of the hot air under the hood

Somebody had posted a pic a while back of a race car with ITB's and an SC so it can be done. How much do you want to spend?

If you are trying to extract more and more HP, why even do the kraftwerks kit? Its not a bad kit, but you can get more power going turbo than you will ever get out of the rotrex. Throwing in ITB's just adds complexity that you don't need to do when you just start with a custom turbo or whatever.

If you want to be unique, go for it. If you are shooting for some high hp number, just call inline pro and have a discussion.

I cant see how ITB's are any better with FI over a good manifold, on NA they can make a difference as you can tune the runner length to the engine characteristics and offer a more direct path to the incoming air, on FI its not such a problem as the manifold is under pressure so tuned length is not so important, save your money for a good plenum manifold and if you need it a bigger TB

they dont, you need a turbo or SC for that question was if boost and ITB's are better than boost and single plenum manifold

i have called inline pro and yea as much as i wanted the kraft werks kit i am going with mases turbo kit as they are local..

now yes having an itb set up with boost can be very very good if u have a great tuner.. and for what i am planing i have titan motorsports for that .. the only issue i am running into is a ecu witch i found one that works but wow i will b eating bread and water for a month just to buy it...

in the end it will end up being just a turbo kit as i am going to sell the itb's i have laying in the shop for a old car i did..

so look for the car to make close to 550whp on pump gas and over 700 on meth and q16..
