Rsx coils are plug and play, I got them from Acura for $290. I've seen them online though for much cheaper though. I could not wait. When using the oem coils I had to have a much smaller gap. With the Rsx coils I was able to throw the plugs in without changing the gap at all. Car runs great at 563hp.

well its good to know that rsx coils are plug and play. personally , i would try what you got first, meaing oem. if it fails or you see less then stellar performance, step up to rsx coils.

as others are saying, some people run 500-700whp on oem ignition system. others have problems.

thankfuly, or rather unfortuneatly, i dont make enough power for it to matter

I disagree. I think the $300 is a pretty good security to not have to worry about the ignition y problem that many of have had. The issue can occur out of no where. It suck when your out and all the sudden your car idles like crap and you can't get into vtec. If your going 500 plus hp these coils are a good idea to try out.

those who are interested in doing this, it seems that the rsx, type s and civic si all use the same ignition coil.

What about the RDX coils, are they any better than the RSX? They are meant for a turbo vehicle, so perhaps they are better than the ones found in the RSX. This is purely speculation lol.
