They only work with a standalone, Hondata does not give you the ability to change the coil dwell.

Care to share any information specifically in regards to dwell values?
In my testing, since the LS2 coils were not in the Wizard I actually came up with the dwell values that resemble the GM LS2/LQ9 coils that are now availible in the Wizard file.

Since I am not going to use them and I am not stepping on anyone's toes.

Here is what I put together. Note that there are no photo's I took of the wires but I worked intensivly with Taylor Vertex and had a custom set of wire made with a custom boot for our valve covers. Thought this might sound minor it prevents the wires from arching where the bend is made out of the spark plug hole as well as seal it. If anyone wants to pick up where I left off Caspers Electronics has sourced and was going to build the PNP harnesses but I did not want to front the $1,770 set up fee.

Is ignition dwell different from coil dwell?

Dwell is the same between software just calculated different so values cannot be directly compared. Running the LS2 coils will most likely not work with the OEM ecu due to differences in the built in ignitors. I could never get over 700 whp power level with the LS2 coils without misfiring, this was on several different s2000s using AEM EMS. The OEM AP2 coils would fire past 800 whp though.
As far as I know you can only change the dwell vs rpm and not make other needed changes such as Voltage compensations.

I basicly data logged dwell (ms) in a wide range of opperating conditions and found that the AEM calibration was very concervative. I was able to increase the Coil dwell factor and get better results. After discovering the LS2 coil wizard I did not make anymore changes to the Voltage comp or the Dwell vs RPM.

If anyone is interested here is some details I used to get the project off the ground.
