Default Valvetrain recomendation

Well i had a failure the other day and i dropped a valve and kaboom. cracked the #4 cylinder and f@#ked up the head and block, Was in 1st gear at like 7k rpm went to shift to 2nd gear and shut off. Not good.

In the process of building another engine.
Getting the short block from a friend that has aebs sleeved block Inline pro rods. cp pistons, arp head studs and some other good stuff.

also have a different cylinder head on the way. looking to get some new springs valves. and retainers and keepers

what is everyone running for valvetrain not stock stuff. that you would recommend for a high boost app. 600+ hp/

Sorry to hear about it John. Let me know if you need me to come down there and give you a hand with the rebuild.

Same thing I've got in my motor and same combo all my friends run in their hondas. No issues.

Lighter aftermarket valves, lighter retainers, springs, guides. If going turbo I suggest the inconel exhaust valves for heat resistance.

In flow testing about 6-7 years ago we found the Ferrea valves we tested flowed 1% better than the Supertech.
I don't have the details as to which valves exactly.
