The Comptech CAI instructions states you must push down on the box hard enought to compress the neoprene insulation on the A/C tubing inorder for the air filter housing to fit. This was the most difficult part of the installation and took the longest. It is a tight and difficult fit. They give you a purpose made nut with an aluminum tag on it so you can hold it while you try to push down on the housing and start the bolt at the same time. You need 3 hands. I struggled with this for over an hour by myself. The rest was a breeze. However, when finished it does what it is supposed to do.

 

The Comptech box is far from easily installef on a Vortech. I've installed 3 Comptech CAI's and all 3 have fit poorly. Even after crushing the foam insulation then lid still rubs the hood.
