Default Vortech not naming proper boost?

I've got a V2 SC trim Vortech kit on my 06. Full loading dyno custom tune with flash pro.

The kit I have is brand new, but was in storage for a number of years until installed on my car two months ago. The guy I purchased it from kept it in his closet and sprayed wd40 in it every month or so to keep it in good shape.

It came with a 5" pulley which should make around 8psi at 8200 RPM according to math here on s2ki and from Vortech. The most pressure I saw out of it was 5.8psi at 8500.

So I went smaller I was expecting something around 12-13psi with my new 3.8" pulley.

So after much tuning im still peaking at only 10psi at 8500.

Is this common?
What does belt slip feel like?
Would it slip on a 5" pulley just the same as a 3.8"?

I have an oil catch can but my PCV valve is still in place so I don't think that's being charged off the intake manifold. I'm using the doul catch can by mishi the Japanese fellow.

My blower does make a lot of noise, local performance shop says its noises than other blowers he's heard like this. It noise isn't consistent either, at idle it almost has a surging noise, or pulsing. Would bad bearings cause additional drag reducing boost? Hard to believe a brand new kit would have bad bearings.

If someone has some insight, would a bad bearing in the blower consistently reduce pressure with every single pull?
Is belt slip also super super consistent? or would my pressure numbers see fluctuation? It's bang on 10psi every pull.

Please help! I'm making 315hp at 10psi but I should be making more boost?

I'm a novice here but in my opinion it would either be you have a problem with the blow off valve on the aftercooler which is leaking boost or the belt is slipping because it's slightly to big.
Also if it's brand new maybe it needs to be worn in? Like new bearings that are slow and over time free up etc...

I have a brand new 1500 blower in my wardrobe and it has something from Vortech saying for the first 5000kms it needs to be run in, or something like that.

All I know is I am excited to install my Vortech 1500 kit. I'm aiming for 24psi

The numbers you are expecting are correct for an AP1 with 8888 RPM rev limit. I think you may have confused the information you found for an AP2.

See the chart in this thread for expected boost level with various pulley sizes for both AP1 & AP2

Youve got your info confused with a ap1. You should be using a 3.4 pulley for your goals. And the exhaust aize matters too. What exhaust are you running? Ap2 stock pulley is 4.5 i believe

Ive got a Vortech V3 SCi kit on my 08, it originally came with a 4.25 pulley (per Vortech) and that peaked at 8psi. I went down to a 3.8 with a test pipe and I'm at 10psi now.
