Recently, SOS has put out an upgrade for comptech supercharger systems with their novi 1200 superchargers. However, I have a vortech supercharger system and the novi 1200 does not work with the vortech supercharger system. So I called Vortech and they were able to suggest an upgrade, the t trim, it runs about $3000 for the unit and bolts straight in. My Vortech has been reliable every since I purchased it, however, I would like more power. Vortech says that they can take a %500-1000 credit on my V-2 blower if I send it in, depending on the condition. This would definitely make it worth it to upgrade.I know Sideways is running one, however, his motor is built. Has anyone on this board done the upgrade with a stock motor? I am interested in seeing what numbers it can put out?

 

I get the impression you may not be telling us the whole story. Is your old unit trashed?

The T-trim up grade is only about $1000 if you have a working V2.

They are selling you a new unit and then giving you (s)crap for your old unit in return.

If your unit is working, I suggest you skip that salesman at Vortech and try again.



There are several guys running stock engines with the T-trim. It is more efficient thus more power with less boost. The intake in 1/4 inch larger too.

 

My unit is working fine. The guy said it would run me $3000 less the credit which is $500-1000 depending the condition of the one I send in. I am hoping they will give me $1000 credit because my blower is in good condition, I have recently pulled off same numbers at a local dyno day.
I told the vortech saleman that SOS was putting out an upgrade for the comptech superchargers. The guy said it would work out to be the same deal that S0S has it with the credit. It's about $1800 for the paxton novi 1200.
