Default Vortech V2 Questions

Looking into going the boost route again. Was turbo before but had too many issues with the turbo seals blowing. Now with my newer ap2 engine, want to just stick with a supercharger to add a few ponies keeping it with the stock setup. I don't want to use an AEM and I'm interested in just keeping it stock SC form. Thanks in advance.

1. I'm currently running an ap1 ecu with an ap2 engine. Everything has been fine but would using the stock vortech timing box cause any issues?

2. Since im running an ap2 engine, would I need that 5th injector? I have the ap1 ecu (Year 00) which is known to run very rich from factory, especially on top end.I would prefer not to have to drill into the fuel rail to add it but wanted to make sure.

3. Would I be able to run a vafc to lower the vtec engagement point? Since I have the ap1 ecu, I can still run it to 9k but I have a shift beeper at 8.5 to keep it safe. I know there is a good amount of power lowering the vtec to 5k.

4. Instead of taping the girdle for the oil drail, can I use a similar system to the comptech drain which attaches to the oil drain plug?

So far those are the only concerns I came up with. Any additional information from owners would be appreciated. I'm just looking for a low maintenance option that gives me around 290-310 to the wheels.

The 2.2 engine is stroked and the red line lowered because of it, not because the ECU says so. I'd not run an AP2 engine that fast. My tuned 2006 has the rev limiter set to 8400rpm and the VTEC engagement set to 3600rpm. Tuned NA car revs so quickly in lower gears I put a beeper in mine as well. Sounds like an alarm, not separate beeps! Supercharged will exceed 8000 rpm in an eye blink.

Thanks for the information chuck. I know when I ran my turbo that first/second gear went fast. If I do go this route, ill be sure to lower the shift beeper to 8.0k - 8.2k. Currently it beeps at 7.9 - 8.1 - 8.3 and finally at 8.5. I normally shift at the third beep and haven't had any issues.
