It doesnt, you can remove it. I followed siadam's thread for a cheaper diy alternative. not as pretty as this one though

You do not want to use the vtec pressure port for your turbo feed.

The ptuning kit has a T coming off this and the oil line for the turbo on it...

also doesn't the CTSC novi 1000 use the pressure sensor port to lude the SC??

IMHO I would not get rid of this... the vtec oil pressure switch is very valuable to have in the even that something doesnt work right. (it turns on when the vtec system is pressureized) On some cars with aem ems i use that switch to turn on the nitrous maps.
